Exclamation VORTECH V-2 ON 01' GT HELP!!

Have few important questions about self installing the Vortech V-2 supercharger on my 01' GT.

1. The belt supplied does not fit around my water pump pulley no matter how much presure i realease. Do i need a longer belt or does it just have to be muscled on there?

2. Can the mass air flow filter be connected directly to the black plastic air inlet attached directly to the blower or do i need the stock O2 sensor on there?

3. Does anyone have a picture of how this entire kit should look installed so that i can have a rough idea? As i'm sure a lot of you have seen pictures are one thing that the instruction manual really lacks.

If anyone has any ideas on any of these mattersr i would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

1) The belt does fit...it is a b!tch to get on. Took 2 people and 90 minutes for mine.

2) An o2 sensor is not related to the MAF. The MAF connects to the air filter and then the intake tube or boost pipe connects to the inlet of the sc. At least that is how I did it.

3) http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u...r/100_6419.jpg

Right where you see the Steeda boost pipe go into the fender is where the MAF is, then the filter is attached to that.

Ya MAF and O2, sorry got that mixed up. Good to know that it's just a b**** to get on and they didn't send me the wrong one. Also the bolt that goes in the bottom left side of the alternator. Is that supposed to be such hell to get in to? And how the hell am i supposed to set up the air inlet hoses, like the ones that attach to the big plastic piece.

Vortech has instructions - follow them - they work. If you dont have them go on the website and print them out.

For pictures - Google images mustang vortech

As for the belt make sure its routed right - it shouldnt be that hard to get on .... Mine comes on and off like any other once the tension is released.

No it's brand new, i got the belt problem figured out and everything else pretty much came into place. I am now having one more issue there is one very thin hose coming off of an attachment that is attached to my air inlet. If anyone knows where this hose is supposed to exactly attach to please let me know, I have read the directions and i just can't seem to get the answer i need from there, or at least not in a way i can understand.

I would bet that's a vacuum hose. There is a vacuum TEE near the throttle body that that may have come off of. Take a picture and we can probably tell you exactly where it goes.
