Default Purge Question

Looking at buy a nitrous kit, not experienced all that well with it have a few friends that know basic install and such, but i came across this video while researching about nitrous. Some guy had his purge set up to blow out of the grill emblem horses nose, like he's breathing out steam, is a special purge system required for this? or will this be a difficult mod? Thanks MFer's

its easy, all you have to have is a purge kit, and then route the purge line to behind the snake and twist it a bit to the side and it will purge like that. Also if in insulate the purge line you will get a slightly bigger bloom from the purge. HotRod tv did one on horsepower a few weeks ago and just had it in the middle of the grill, i would have placed it behind the horse but thats me. its on episode 11 and its on itunes if you want to watch most of an install and the power gains from a TyRex nitros kit for the 4.6mod in a 2005 (iirc)

no special kit needed.. but purge kits only give you a short piece of steel line so you'd need some more braided, or more tubing or whatever you wanted to piece it all together. it doesn't need to seal like the rest of the kit since it's not under pressure and just escaping anyways..... but you need to get it there

Thats lame, IMO, I would purge it behind the cowl grille.

I never understood what a purge does for you other than waste your nitrous........

A purge bleeds the line of any air to make sure when you hit the nitrous there is no hesitation.

yup... and to be more specific... it eliminates (or purges) all the vapor nitrous

you want to inject liquid nitrous or it has lost it's benefit since it's already boiling
