Default Boost Leak and BPV Question...

I did the homemade boost leak tester and can hear air coming from either the Throttle body area or one of the rear injectors possibly. It is really hard to narrow down. Question is, can I spray soapy water on the injector areas and will they be leaking enough air to cause the soap to bubble up? Any tips/ideas would be great, as I am going in for a retune this week after my IC install.

After the IC install I noticed the car seems slower, probably from pressure loss. Was not too worried about that. Question is, after the IC install I can hear my BPV more pronounced now. When I step on it, let off the gas, you can really hear it release the air. Never did that before the IC. I have the stock Bosch one with an upgraded spring. Is this something I should be worried about, or is it normal? I am trying to stay draw-through and was debating putting a mini race on, but would rather not if I can get away with the upgraded spring in the bosch. Thanks guys.

You can use a smoke machine if you know someone that has one. I've always just started the engine when it was cold & ran my hand across every bit of the intake I could get to. The noise will slighly change when you get near it & stop when you have your finger on it. I wouldn't spray soapy water. keep in mind, this is a vacuum leak, not a boost leak which means it's not going to bubble, it's going to suck in whatever you spray on it.

I would fix your vacuum leak before worrying about power. Have you checked your bypass to make sure it isn't what's leaking?

The sound of a bypass or bov will be louder if it's located before an intercooler because the pressure is higher. The closer to the throttle plate, the more effective. It will be louder before the ic though.
