Default 1999 Mustang Gt. Looking to Intercool. How

much power can be added by doing this. I am thinking of intercooling.. What kind of intercooler is best for a 1999 Gt.. How much more power will I be looking at when intercooled. I am looking for more low end grunt.. Power now is 357Hp and 356 Torque

My Mods are
Vortech Si V3
C&L Upper Intake Plenum
75 MM Tb
Anderson Power Pipe
Mac Prochamber
Flowmaster American thunder
3.73
Focus Pump
Kenne Bell Boostapump
Sct 90 Mass Air

How about an Aluminum Driveshaft is that worth the Money. How can I get to 400 Hp, and keep up with the Kenne Bells of the world.

Default I read that, but it did not answer my questions..

Maybe you can help. I am not going to be doing this myself, How much will this install cost? Which Intercooler is best. I went on Ebay, and there are 50 of them. How bout power #'s. I just paid 600 to get my car dyno tuned. I will have to get it tuned again, so I am looking at $4 to $500 + the install and parts.
I am looking for more low end grunt. Help me please..

Would you recommend an Aluminum Driveshaft? What else can I do fro low end. Car pulls hard up top, but cant pull a hard 2nd gear burnout. From 4500-6000 feels good from 2500- 4500 not so much..

Ps. I am from De.

i wouldnt waste the money on an aluminum DS

if your not doing the install yourself, dont even bother, its a total waste of money. after you spend $200-$300 on parts, $200-$300 on labor (if not more), and then $400 for a tune your looking at almost $1000 for 30-50hp. total waste of money. and for the record, a retune for an intercooler should be no more then 1hr/$200.

the reason you dont have power below 4500rpms is because you have a centrifical sc. if you want low end power you need a KB, turbo, or n2o. centri blowers start to make boost around 3000rpm and usually hit peak at 4500. if you want a cheap intercooler, get n2o. $300 plus a tune (install yourself) and you can safely pick up 100hp to the tires and have a bunch more power down low.

are you auto or manual?

you could also ditch the 3.73s for 4.10s or run more boost. a smaller sc pulley will help with peak boost as well as having the boost come in a little sooner

On a stock block where you are limited then yes thats true. But if built correctly you can make 5lbs of boost at 1500rpms like me and top out at 28lbs at 6500rpms. That also depends on the blower being used. Weak sauce vortech (anything below a ysi) or weak procharger(anything below F1A) you might as well throw a 50 shot on it and be done.

Default Getting the KB was my first choice, but I had a 5500 budget,

and the KB with all the Goodies, Install and Tune was 6500-6800..

I did the Vortech for less then 5000. Installed and Dynoed.. Thanks for your help..

No, I am not planning on making this a race car, just looking for a soldid 390-400 HP to the Wheels, and 390- 400 lbs of Torque... If Intercooling will get me close to that, then the $1000 bucks jsut might be worth it to me...

well if your willing to spend that kinda money what i would do is also get a new sc pulleyso you can pick up a couple psi while your at it. the extra boost and the cooler will get you over 400 for sure. just go to the next size smaller then what you have now. pulleys can be had cheap on ebay and corral.

take a look at that link i gave you and study it. see what he used and try to order the same. you can also head over to theturboforums.com and talk to those guys about the size intercoolers they use on their turbo setups in cars like yours. your going to probably have to buy 2 pipe kits off ebay so try to get them from the same seller in hopes he will combine shipping.
