Default Paxton 1200

I have just put a Paxton 1200 supercharger on my 65 coupe, with a 302W. Runs real good but I am getting a small oil leak through the intake when I give it a boot full. It drops on to the belts and goes ape. I am running a PCV valve and thinking this may have something to do with the pressure in the block. Should I remove the PCV Valve and put a breather on the rocker cover instead, or what could the problem be?

im confused where the oil leak is but you need to ditch the pcv system when your boosted.

The oil leak is where the the inlet pipe (the one the filter is connected to) goes into the supercharger unit at the rear. It appears to leak only when I give it a gut full and I end up with oil drops on the belt and then it goes everywhere. So I guess just get a breather on the rocker cover and plug the hose.

get rid of the pcv and see if that takes care of your oil problem. i had a similar issue when i first put a sc on my car. had the pcv hooked up and the oil was getting blown into the intake. from there it ran past the tb, down the discharge pipe and into the sc and then out the inlet of the sc. ditching the pcv fixed the oil issue for me

Okay so tell me if this the right way to do it on a 302W. Just cap the hose, remove the valve and then put in a breather in its place on the rocker cover.

ya, you just need to plug the pcv in the back of the intake and then put a breather on each valve cover

Okay got rid of the PCV and put a hose from the pcv location to the back of the air intake on the supercharger unit. Seems to have fixed it. Breather also on the other valve cover.

Default derwin

I have a 1970 Dodge Challenger i'm looking at getting a paxton 1200 kit for. Have you had any issues. How is the drivability ? What card did you use ? Also how does the supercharger itself sound at idle and cruising. Is it loud enough to know you have it on there ? I want mine to make some noise like a procharger, etc. Thanks
