I'm surprised there is someone on this forum that knows about the KL03's. Yes, the car would have been much better if rwd. There are a few people that have put the kl03 in a miata and from what I hear the motor is even more capable like that, which doesn't surprise me since my car spun badly even w/ slicks. I'm done with anything smaller than a v8 now though.
I was pretty impressed with the whole car. That was the only thing that really bummed me out on it. That was the first car I ever messed with forced induction on using two 14b's (which was a bit of work to fit the rear turbo) then got into supercharging.
I have no problem with 4 or 6 cylinders. I have a turbo 4 cylinder in my ranger now & I would put it up against most v8's. It was more of a work truck project. I wanted good fuel economy with some power, they can be pretty brutal engines. There's actually a member on this forum putting down a little over 500 at the wheels with his daily driven turbo 4 cylinder mustang & has a video of him beating a modified '03 cobra. I still prefer the sound of v8 though
I ended up hacking a lot of it up to run a mustang t5 & fit a pretty big intercooler. Was a cheap fun project.
The wiring looks a little messy there. I rewired the whole truck because there was too much wiring for my taste & I wanted to drop some weight. plus I ran a standalone with it with a speed density setup to help with inlet restrictions & cost. ended up looking pretty well stock in the end

so i'm sitting in the waiting room right now. they quoted me 300-400 for an H cat-back installed. all with mandrel bent pipes and the gt take-offs installed plus bumper cut. seems a little high but this shop is supposed to be in the top 3 in the state, and one of the few that does mandrel bends which i wanted. also the installer said that they cant bend the pipes for the over axle, so they use a pre-bent pieces? i guess these are either from templates from mustangs they've done or are some angle pieces they have and weld to each other.
so what do u guys think? good price?
