Default Down the slippery slope of the V-1 T-Trim :) advice

Ok guys. anything I need to know? Looking at end-November installation. Have all the needed accessories in the mail.. just waiting on a good deal to show up for a t-trim.

anyways, my goal is AT LEAST 400 wrhp and 400 wrtq, but AT MOST 420 wrhp (that is what I have pretty much gathered as a "safe" hp number for stock internals)... Anyways, is this possible w/out an inter cooler? (all my mods in sig... I would think I could get 120 HP w/out a inter cooler... right?)

I am new to the s/c world, so I would love you guys advice. I am buying the SVT focus fuel pump, 42lb injectors, and will have the car tuned professionally.

What pulley do I need to run around 8-9 lbs of boost? (that is what I think it will take to get to 400 hp, correct me if I'm wrong)

I would love it as well if anybody had any links to these .pdfs in the stickies... they all seem to not work for me (specifically the vortech install manual in the "$1500" supercharger thread, and the "how-to" inter cooler .pdf in the inter cooler thread)

I appreciate all your advice... and I cannot wait to join you guys

oh yeah, and most importantly, do I NEED A new MAF? or can I make my stock one work? (do I need to buy the lightning MAF basically)

You will need a lightning MAF........you can pick one up used or new ($100). I have seen a few guys around 400rwhp with the t-trim around 8-10psi without an intercooler, but I don't know there exact mods (exhaust, throttle body, powerpipe, etc.).

400rwhp is what most consider safe, but I blew my motor a long time ago with 360rwhp and 10lbs. of boost, so be careful and/or start building a shortblock while enjoying your newfound power. I took about 2 years of hard driving though.

Later,
Derrick

my motor has low miles and I would say I take very good care of the car. I am fairly confident that It can support 400 rwhp (but I will have a pro dyno and tune the car w/out a doubt the next day the vortech is on the car)
