Default SSS Terminator Exhaust Install Question

this goes for anyone who has installed a SSS terminator cat back. i plan on buying this system, but i have a few questions to anyone who can asnwer them. it says all hardware is included but from looking at the pictures, it doesnt seem there is a hanger welded onto the tips like there are on the stock system.
so are they there and the picture is wrong are dont they have them on the tips?
also how hard was it to install this system? was is basically just bolt on without any welding? i plan on doing this myself to save the labor fees but i never installed an exhaust system before?

i was planning on going with borla but i stumbled across a few posts tonight about SSS and many people say its almost sounds like a borla but almost half the price. if i get this i may use that $300 i save to get myself a mid pipe as well.

They hangers were on mine when i bought it.

The system clamps together. There is no welding. The install was not hard at all.

You're gonna love the terminator mufflers! With a mid pipe and headers it will be VERY LOUD, but with a good deep tone.

Alrigt cool thanks. Yeah I plan on getting a mid pipe. Do you reccomend a certain one? I remember reading that certain mids make the exhaust sound raspy and wheezy? Also would it be easier to do it all at once or is a mid pipe install not that hard? I definitely want to get that exhaust on but I don't know if I can buy both of them together right now.

I've ran both a o/r x and a o/r h with these mufflers, and i've settled on a catted h. I'll give you my impression of each. Both the o/r pipes were crazy loud with the terminators. Both had lots of rasp with lots of back fire on decel. The h was worse...more poppy and raspy than the x, but i liked the tone of the h better. With the catted h it's still extremely loud, but the raspiness is mostly eliminated, and it's deeper as well.

Of course it's easier to do it all at once, but changing the mid pipe is really easy. I've done it several times now. If i were you i'd just do the cat back for now, and when you can, do long tubes with a matching mid pipe of your choice.

Here is a clip. First is with a catted h, and the second is with a o/r x. Keep in mind that the clip does not do it justice at all. It simply does not capture the deepness and sheer volumn of this setup, but it'll at least give you an idea.

Alright thanks a lot. That does sound awesome in the clip. Must sound insane when you actually hear it in person.

No problem man! Yeah, the o/r x was too much though. It was echoing off buildings at 3k...lol. Even with the catted h it's still louder than my buddy's gt with stingers, o/r x, and long tubes, so that gives you an idea.

Let me know how it goes.

the hangers for the tips are made to bolt on to an L-shaped bracket and it is adjustable, the only problem i had with mine was that the drivers side pipe at the end wasnt bent enough so the tip was facing down, i fixed this by sticking only a little of the pipe in it(maybe half inch) and used a self tapper srew to hold it then put the clamp over it.I like the ss pipes but they are almost impossible to bend by hand so thats why i did it with the self tappers, but they sound great and look great.

i love them, there not as load as my old flowmasters but thats fine, when i change the headers and h-pipe that will change, and i'll never have to worry about them rusting out like the flows did in 3 years(the baffles inside were gone on both)

Oh yeah I will. Decided to just go with the cat back for now. Hopefully have it on in a few weeks. Another topic I'm posting in right now, the guy said I didn't need to update my tune with just a cat back. I ordered the x3 not too long ago with just the 3 brenspeed tunes for a stock car. Do you know if it would be worth it to pay the money and get one ofthe tunes updated for the cat back?
