Default Modding a supercharged engine help...

I wanted to add cams and ported heads to my motor and eventually a 302 stroker rotating assembly. But cams and heads will be first and I wondered if anyone could enlighten me on what it will do to my boost (raise or lower)? compression ratio (raise or lower)? and power gains (is it worth it)? and after thats done, would it be beneficial to install a 302 stroker kit (any power gains)? thanks for your expertise. Oh and which cams are good for FI, 270? and are patriot stage II heads any good?

cams and heads are probably a good idea for you at some point, they aren't going to offer the biggest gains on mod motors but since you already have forced induction go for it, plus the sound is like sex. The change on heads and cam will lower your "boost" but that is a good thing, boost is simply a measure of restriction so while your boost may drop from 10lbs to 8lbs you may gain 50rwhp with that setup. Heads should lower your CR a bit depending on what all is done or which heads you buy. But that is also fine because that just means you can through run more boost with pump gas. The stroker kits are decent but won't offer huge power gains with the mod motors especially only going up by 21 CI, but if you've done everything else go for it. make sure you get all forged internals with the rebuild and add more boost =)

good luck with your project!

i found these new trick flow heads that came out this year and they're awesome. with a set of cams they've been reported to put out 360-370 rwhp. that's more than my SC puts out. I called them and they said with my SC it would be more than that but I need blower cams. I've been seeing Comp Cams' XE262BH (blower cams) for sale but no site lists any specs on it. Would it be safe to use the Trick Flow Twisted Wedge Heads with the Comp Cams blower cams on a SC'd stock bottom end or am I pushing it?

im sure those heads, cams, and blower will be very dangerous for your stock bottom end.
on another note, how are you only making 331rwhp with 10lbs of boost?

because 1.) saleen series IV's aren't that strong, and 2.) it's an automatic. I'll never buy a saleen SC again. KB ftw...

i agree, sell that saleen blower and buy something better and you can easily max your block. youll spend a couple grand to swap out your blower compared to 5000$ on a stroker kit, heads and cams then all the labor that goes with that.
