Default 05 gt boost gauge install help

Where did you guys plug your boost gauge into in the engine area. I picked a vaccum line but it just measures vac. I have never hooked one before so maybe i am missing something. any help or pics would be great! Thanks

what kind of sc do you have, if its a vortech it plugs into the sc itself on top

its a vortech v2 aftercooled. i think since its aftercooled they rotate it when they install correct?

i thought the aftercooler was just a box to put ice in , anyway mine had a gold screw on top with a allen head type, i had to remove that and get a fitting to screw into it that also adapts to the air tube. I got both at home depot,a *90 fitting i beleive was 1/4 inch and the air tube thats 1/4 inch because the supplied one wasnt long enough.

i am assuming you just take out that allen bolt and install the boost line and fitting

i have to get more line since my kit didnt come with enough. Next trick to is to find the best place on the 05 to go through the firewall.

any vacuum line under the hood should work. if you hook the boost line directly to the sc, any pressure lost through the cooler will not show up on the gauge

Yeah i was wondering about that. The vac line that i tried would not work for boost for some reason. I was going to try using the line from the intake to the fuel pressure reg
