Default 02 GT Exhaust Help!

I'm looking to finally redo the exhaust after owning my car for 4 years now...headers, x or h pipe and exhaust/mufflers. What I'm stuck on is what to get. Sound wise, I don't want anything that's gonna be hard on the ears while driving, but definitely something that will turn heads going down the road. As far as performance...I'll take all the gains I can get!
As far as headers, long or short and what brand? I've heard to go with long tubes for performance, but no clue as far as the brand.
For the X or H pipe, should I go with a CAT or CAT-LESS and what brand again? I've heard the arguments as far as sound and I'm definitely looking for a throatier/old school Mustang sound. I'm in the military and my car is registered out of state, so I'm not that worried about emissions as well.
For the exhaust/mufflers I'm thinking MagnaFlows, but open to suggestions.
Thanks for the help in advance!
