Default Super Charger Help

Hey all, so Im traveling down the road of the 1500 dollar supercharger kit, i bought a Vortech V1 for CHEEAAAP the kicker was that it needs a new impeller, question is which impeller can i put in it? Ive only been able to come across one website, www.superchargerrebuilds.com, that sells the impellers and they offer an A trim and an S trim, Is there anywhere else i can find them? and last one, what is the difference between A and S trim?

thanks for all the help

Geoff

I would double check with vortech on the impeller options. The trim will effect the efficiency at a given pressure ratio & air flow vs impeller speed. The A trim won't flow as much as the S trim. Ideally you want a trim that will suit your needs. It's best to figure out your hp goals, then figure out the air flow & pressure required from the s/c to get to those goals, then pick the trim. You need to keep in mind though that changing the trim will mean that your impeller will be changing size which means your compressor housing won't work anymore unless it was designed to fit that trim.
