Default question about intake with intercooler

ok so im in the middle of installing my intercooler and i reused the original pipe that came from vortech, the one that goes from throttle body to sc. I cut the last 90 off of it right before the bov since i dont have anyway to connect it to the new pipes. My question is does it really matter much that the vortech pipe is about 1/4 smaller than the other pipes. So i come out of the intercooler with the 3inch pipe and threw the fender area, then it goes into the vortech pipe. Is this ok and if not what do you recommend,i saw a couple other threads with new bov but dont know whats good. The other prob is that i would have to get another piece of 3inch pipe with the right bend to go into the trottle body, any ideas?

No it really shouldnt affect it.

However, you will need the right bypass-valve. I'm not sure if you changed boost levels or pulleys. If you kept the same levels you should be fine though.

i used a 3.25 pulley from reading a couple other threads, with that i should be at the same psi, im going to try getting one of those ****** fittings that screw in and practice on an old piece of pipe and use that since i have nothing to weld on.

Thats how I learned to weld - I made all kinds of random shapes out scrap metal - just practicing..

the slight difference in pipe size is nothing to worry about but my question is, why use any of the old piping if you have to run so much new piping? might as well do the whole thing with one time of pipe

i actually fixed it today, the reason i reused the pipe at first was because of the bov pipe was welded on to it.I messed around with the pipe today and found a screw in ****** fitting that fits it, i drilled out a hole and threaded it in and the same with the iat sensor, all i need now is a tune because the car runs rough if i hold it at a constant rpm,my freind told me its running rich because he can smell it, so hopefully i can make it to the tuners the way it is.

Most cases, you can make it to the tuners fine if you go easy. The exception is if you're running too rich for the car to move. (like black smoke everywhere)
