Default steeda oil separator

i went to install the steeda oil separator and in the directions it showed going into the valve cover on the drivers side, i must be missing a peice because none of them fit into that hole its to big, so my question is can i install it on the same line that goes to the intake from the drivers side valve cover, just cut it in. The only thing is i think that line is bigger than the supplied line, but i could hose clamp it down, i would think this would work because its the same hose just installing it in the middle of the hose instead of right out of the valve cover.
