Default What gear for superchargers?

Hello all,

I am sorry if this has been asked over and over but I did search and couldnt find what I was looking for.

I have a 1998 V2-S trim on a stock bottom end. The car makes 329RWHP right now and I am taking it tomorrow to have a 3.33 pulley installed and it tuned for a newly installed meth injection kit. The car is an AOD OD car with stock rearend gears.

Finally my question, this car will be as close to a dialy driver as it can be and I was wondering what rearend gears to install for better boost and drivability. I know I will lose my great gas mileage...hahahaha, sorry, but the car will only be driven rarely on the highway except to the track from time to time.

Thanks,
Poppa

i would go 3.55
i have 3.55 in my turbo car and they work great. with 4.10s i dont think u will get the power u want especialy top end, unless u want to go fast fron stoplight to stoplight. also make sure ur not over spinning the supercharger

What do you mean you won't make power top end with 4.10s???? Go with 4.10s as it always puts you in boost so you have power in every gear all the time.... How fast you want to go... but 4.10s do not limit your top speed but comes down to how fast you want to go in 4th gear.

I got 4.10s and love it with a centri if it was a KB then i would recommend 3.55s.

With 4.10s and 400 rwhp track will be come a factor...

it depends where boost really comes on.... this is a situation where 3.73 might be better, but not for sure

when you say stock gears... thats a general statement, there were lots of options

look in the door tag, under "ax"

m=2.73
z=3.08
e=3.27

you want to jump minimum 2 gearsets or you won't feel much, 3 is better

i am a big fan of 4.10's... but i squirt not squeeze

how tall of a tire you run? Are you running any stall with the AOD? and is this it or are you gone to do more HP improvements later down the road again
