Default anderson power pipe

Im getting ready to order a power pipe for my vortec set up. I was reading the instalation directions and it says you have to notch the hood so it will fit. Has anyone had to do this?

It rubs my hood but I didnt notch it. Its aligned just fine and closes perfect. But mine barely touches. On that not I have an aftermarket Cobra RR hood so you might need notch yours.

the stock hood i didnt notch but the aftermarket fiberglass i had to but it was easy, did it with a handsaw in 5 minutes. The stock hood i didnt need it because it was less flexable and wasnt noticable even though it still hit a little
