the stock hpipe on my fox has a total of 4 cats, 2 on each side. instead of buying a high flow mid pipe with cats on it, can i just take out 2, leaving the other 2 in there for a similar sound? not to mention still pass emissions?

depends on how strict your emissions are in your state. the stock cats dont work very well, which is why there is 4 plus a smog pump to help them where new cars have no smog pump and only 2 cats. if you have to pass smog just get the high flow catted mid pipe. or get a catless midpipe and swap in the stock midpipe for smog testing
