Boomtubes..Not so impressed
Just put a set of boomtube axle backs on my otherwise stock GT and not so impressed with the sound. Seems a little louder than stock but with all of the videos and feedback on here I thought they would be more agressive sounding..So should I look into a x-pipe? Free flow cats?
I know headers are always an option but not an option as of yet.
So do I go with an x pipe or look for a different axle back?
Opinions please...

you will get much more sound from changing the midpipe over the headers (plus headers are a pain in the ***).
youll have to decide for yourself if you want an X or H they sound different. ive gone back and forth on mine between x and h and changed mufflers out and can't pick a sound i like.

Doesn't surprise me. The 3 valve's exhaust sucks, imo. I went from stock to stingers, to adding an o/r h matched to my stingers, and to the loudmouths, back to stingers. The addition of the o/r h has brought my drone down a lot, but now I have the trumpeting sound.
I wouldn't mess around with high flowing cats, that's a waste imo. Do you live in a strict emission controlled state? If not, the o/r x or h may be right for you?
Lt's would be decent, but they are out of my price range and take too long to install.
