Default zeroing a boost gauge?

I recently bought a used mechanical sport comp vaccuum/boost gauge, and it reads 1 psi when it's just sitting on a table, not hooked up to anything. Is there a way to zero the gauge, or should I just let it be by subtracting 1psi to see my boost rating?
