Default so confused

long in short, i have an 88 lx that i need to convert to maf for a turbo setup. the kit im buying comes with the mass air meter. i found a company called latemodelrestoration.com that sells the a9l maf computer for around 250, and they also sell the maf wire harness for 50 but i dont get why the harness is so cheap???? something dont seem right vs a company like ford racing who charges around 500?????? im close to the point where im ready to give up on the turbo idea an just stick with what i know which is nitrous. dodge uses speed density in all of there cars including the gay turbo srt4. just dont get it.... thanks guys

the harness for $50 i believe is just to add the maf to the factory wiring you have now. ford's $500 wiring kit is the whole harness....if i had to guess. before you buy anything, send a pm to a member here named addermk2. ask him about quarter horse. its a tuning devise that i believe runs on SD or maf so you may not have to convert. just buy the QH and a wide band and you can do all your tuning yourself with a laptop and not upgrade to maf.

i just dont get why anyone wouldnt just buy the 50 dollar harness and follow the directions to splice into your wires instead of paying out the a$$ for what i assume is plug and play and why its so expensive???
