I used the Lucas Octane Booster in my old motor
, 96npi stock, with a full tank and my idle was always fluctuating. Then the engine sounded to revved up and at times would also sound weak. I can't explain this in specific technical terms, but I know octane boosters arent beneficial to stock motors. I believe my valves got damaged because I could never fix this problem until I swapped motors.

You're right.....I am splitting hairs a bit over a few hp. On an 03 cobra, I think there is more than 5hp even if he did just go from 92-94. If he's on the dyno getting a custom tune anyways, it won't hurt to have a track tune where all the tuner needs to do is add a couple degrees of timing.

But, in a practical aspect you are 100% correct in that it's not really worth the hassle. I have my own tuning/datalogging software so I don't need to go to a dyno and have a tune written for me. I sometimes forget that it's not so easy for everyone to just write a tune and try it out between runs.
