bpv / maf , location ??
Ok I have a 07 4.0 with Vortech , and a front mount inter cooler . currently it has the maf as vortech suggests , which is before the bpv , my tuner tells me i must relocate the maf after the inter cooler , and run the bpv before the maf sensor , I was just wondering why does the bpv need to b before the maf ??? thats not how vortech has it running , any input would b appreciated

leave the bypass the way vortech says. every vortech i have ever seen has the maf before the sc, then the bypass valve after the sc, rerouting the air back into the sc intake, before the maf.
if you run a blow off valve, you need to have the maf after the bov. this is because when it opens it dumps air to atmosphere and if its after the maf, your dumping metered air which will cause rich spikes in the motor

yes except the air rerouted from the SC goes AFTER the maf right?
your tuner is an idiot plain and simple, find another tuner and tell him to sit on a pole.
he's telling you to reconfigure your stuff the way you would with a BOV and a blow thru maf. he must work on a lot of imports.

don't do mail order tunes for future reference. mail order will never be as accurate for your car as a dyno tune.
and if he's trying to get you to rewire your intake, i would NOT load that tune personally until i found out EXACTLY what he did and had someone verified it (take it to a local tuner and have them do a test run to get your AFR measured, it won't cost nearly as much as a dyno tune and will atleast let you know if the tune is safe or not). it sounds like he's trying to tune your car for a blow thru setup like i said, and your running draw thru...not good.
