After listening to some clips, I'm thinking about going with Borla cat-back w/ MRT H-pipe (not o/r for emission reasons). Quick question. Anyone know/heard the difference between Borla stingers and regular cat-back? (I can't really distinguish in the sound clips). Thanks..

Just the cat-back itself it probably 3-4 times louder than stock. The Stingers provide a very clear, throaty and muscular sound. It really does sound like an exotic. I have absolutely no complaints about mine and highly recommend them.

hmm, must be your midpipe making the difference cause my car doesnt sound like any exotic ive ever heard..

as far as i konw, the regular borla catback is not nearly as loud, and the tone is a bit difference

there is a sound clip somewhere on mustangexhaust that has a kick *** stinger catback with a mrt H..

Thanks for the info. I'm looking for an old-school, deep muscle car sound. Do you have the stingers? And, what mid-pipe do you have?

I have borlas with a bassani X and it sounds awesome...I think you'll love it!Borla is the best exhaust hands down

I have JBA midlength headers, JBA catted H-pipe and Borla Stingers.

It sounds amazing; I get compliments everywhere I go. Even when I took the 'stang in for alignment the mechanics said it sounded amazing.

Only problem is the headers are too big, so my steering shaft rubs against the header.. still trying to figure out a way to fix that one without removing the header , denting it, and reinstalling...

But I'd highly recommend Borla; much better quality product than the JBA components of my exhaust were. Well made, great sound, great exhaust clamps they give you, looks amazing. Wish Borla made headers and a midpipe
