Default Nos 05115/Nitrous Questions

I currently have 2 foxes.. an 87 with 88,000km on it for a dd, and recently purchased another mainly stock motor with many suspension/gear upgrades.

I race bracket racing in Grand Bend Ontario and want to run nitrous. Currently the car runs 14.08 consistently. (I know standard is not ideal for bracket but it's more fun).. In order to be able to run STREET class and MOD class I have to get the car into the low 13's. I plan on running a 100shot or less of nitrous. I have been reading about the different nitrous kits (NX, NOS, and ZEX) and still can't figure out if I will be able to use a BUTTON instead of a WOT (which im not exactly sure how it works) system. I think pressing a button between 3-6k rpm in 2nd or 3rd gear would be more beneficial for me in terms of consistency and not spinning on the wheels off the line.

In short I am asking if I am wrong in thinking a button would be more beneficial, and if it is better for consistency and speed, are there any kits that do have a BUTTON option instead of WOT?

and also is the 05115 kit a WOT kit?

Thanks in advance

ok a button is NEVER better, any kit can use a button, butu dont want to.

yes the 5115 kit is WOT, so is zex dry and eddy dry. all are copies of 5115 kit, with the exception that zex has a tps switch rather than manual micro-switch

selonoids are better on eddy and NOS, zex is harder to get to, and NOS uses double that are also bigger.

depending on the setup...gears,tires etc....

a 100 shot kit should get you sub 13's....you might need to jet lower.

my '89 was 13.20 on motor and 12.50 with fat 75's 5115 adj kit
my '90 was 15.10 on motor and 13.60 with zex 100 dry
my '93 was stock and 14.00 and 13.00 on a fixed 80 5115

just do it.....skip the button....use the WOT switch......and start with low jetting (75-ish) and work up from there. get a heater too..... if u ever do milan or lapper in michigan hit me up. i havnt been to grand bend in about 12 yrs
