on a street mustang, 20+ psi is a lot

as said, you'll see well above that on the track though

On a street car it really is limited by your fuel. At a certain point detonation is gonna become an issue. Also you have to take into account the engine your pushing that boost into. You may see an import pushing 40-50psi, but yiur talking about 2-3 liter engines. When you look at outlaw cars running something like a proline 670, they probably run in tje mid 30s, but with that kind of displacement thats a ton of air.

I've ran 25psi on 91 octane with 8:1 compression. I intended on shooting for 35psi on aviation, but I haven't been brave enough yet. This is a daily driver. Higher boost doesn't always mean more power though. Some cases running a little more timing & a little less boost will offer more power.

engine size has nothing to do with boost. boost is a measure of restriction in the intake system.
