Default 93 mustang exhaust replacment

I have a 93 gt that is stock. I have just aquired the car and first thing I want to do is put new exhaust from headers back. Not familiar with the mustang so had a few questions about doing this.
1. I will be getting rid of the cats, do I just unplug the o2 sensors.
2. What is the best way to get rid of smog pump and all the lines,(do I just remove all these components?)
3. I know I will probably have a Check engine light but don't care too much, but what kind of tuning or anything has to be done once the o2 sensors, cat, and smog pump are gone, to make sure eng runs good?
4. anything else I may have overlooked, or advice would greatly be appreciated.
