advice on 3.73 vs 4.10 gears
#2
Well personally I think that a tune, gears, CAI, and exhaust system is always the top things to buy when you get a new mustang! I personally have 4.10 gears and love it, but boy do I go through gas like no other. Your best bang for you buck, the seat sinking feel, would be from a tune and gears.

What do you mean "top acceleration" ? high mph? That's what you trade off, taller tire will give you mph, and take launch and low end. Same thing as if you went from 3.73 to 3.55
But bumping numerically higher will you better acceleration all across the rpm scale

i did 4.10s in mine a few years ago and its one of my favorite things that i changed. they're too much fun. yeah it hurt gas mileage a bit, but its really not as bad as some people make it seem.
with your $1000 budget, i'd say a CAI, tune, and gears would be a great start and be right around your budget.
