Haven't found much info on this topic. Anybody know if its possible to take the diameter of the inlet/outlet of the mufflers and open them up? I'm wanting to go from a 2.5" to a 3" and don't want to fork out the cash for brand new mufflers. Anybody know?

It'll cost you as much or more to open up the inlet/outlets of the muffler as it would cost to just buy a muffler that is already the size you need. I vote on just doing it right and getting a muffler with the size pipes you need vise trying to modify an existing muffler.
