i know.. Another "looking to supercharge" thread.
Well i'm sure this has been beaten to death many a time before, I have been reading some old posts and whatnot but would still like fresh info/opinions.
So in driving my mustang this summer I came to realize I still want more power. I believe I have done all the things possible with the stock block n/a to gain power.
trick flow top end, cam, and supporting parts..
I am thinking I would like to be right around 400 hp or slightly less... in my head I would like to be able to hit a low to mid 12 quarter mile...
I would like to leave the block alone as it has been completely rebuilt by a trusted shop and that leaves me with a power adder..
my concerns are the strain on the block and rear axle... will these parts hold up to more power? what else is likely to be under more strain that may need to be beefed up?

8.8 is plenty for 400rwhp as long as you dont beat it constantly. I think you will be fine for a while. Just do it and see where your at. Fix/improve things as they wear and break until eventually you are ready for a 363 with the blower putting out 500+ lol

I spoke with the shop who built my engine a while ago.. guy said as long as I'm not throwing a fat turbo or anything like that I should not have an issue in that regard. was only looking at keeping it on the smaller side anyway......im sure someday ill change that...
