Default Wish me luck! Speed_daddy turbo kit...

So I went a head and ordered an ebay turbo kit, I picked up another fox-body cheap. A friend and I want to make a side project out of it. If it fails won't be out much money, no I didn't pay $1,000 for this kit. They accepted my offer less than $650 with shipping. Not afraid to do some modification work. I picked up a set of 60lbs injectors and maf cheap from a Dallas forum. All together I'll have under $1000 into it plus my time. I spoke with three people who bought this kit, two said it fit well other one said he spent $400 get the manifolds to fit.

The kit don't look to bad. Metal don't feel to cheap, intercooler piping is cheap, wasn't missing any items. Turbo has no shaft play, and seems of ok quality. I hope to start attempting to fit this week. I'll try to post pictures as I go!

Remember I know the ebay stuff is junk! I'm not worried if it fails.. This is a test to see how it goes. I'm leaving my 25th anniversary mostly stock for now.

Good for you for taking the jump. There has always been alot of questions on those ebay kits. Yeah I'm sure their not top shelf components like you already know, but sounds like a fun project if you have the spare time and money. Keep us posted, I'd be curious as to how it turns out. Good luck.

Well got the oem headers off and they seem to match up to the turbo headers.. The gasket the kit came with is junk!! Anyone recommend a better exhaust gasket?

I figure that is to come... There is a lot of mixed post out there... Most all say there junk but all those are people who haven't touched a kit... I had some money to play with and was bored.. Why not try it.. Not much to lose... If it goes boom I can part out the car and make my money back... It's winter I have a heated shop and time to kill... Why not try it... Make a post about it after I've tried it instead of just saying it's junk, without even touching it?
