Default Headers 2006 GT

I have a 2006 GT and wanted to install new headers and full exhaust. Does anyone have any suggestions on which set of headers are best for the 2006. Seems like a lot of people use the Pypes long tube headers, any suggestions would help, thanks.

Lontubes will be the way u want to go. for the time and energy it takes to install new headers, dont mess with shorties because the gains are smaller. The LT headers will require a tune soooo be aware of that. JBA is a good brand. I have heard of fitment issues with Pypes axle backs so i would be a little leary about their headers. dont get a chrome finish.

Hey Cema, just wondering why you suggested not to get chrome finish? I installed my chrome finished pypes long tubes with matching shorty x pipe and I have zero complaints whatsoever. Is there problems down the road with the chrome i should be aware of?

Chrome tends to discolor and eventually rust depending on the material. If you're looking for the best headers I would suggest checking out what Kooks has to offer.

ARH makes great headers. They aren't inexpensive, but they make good power!
