Default Side exit exhaust

So I am trying to do some side exit exhaust. It's quite a bit harder with a convertible but I think someone else found a way. Now comes the issue. Not one place I have been to will even think about it. So anyone have any suggestions on where to have it done? Mine will obviously not be left open under the car due to it not being a full on track only car and it will need a trim ring around the tip to hide any imperfections from the cutting of the quarter panel and to seal it from the outside.

No way I would ever do that.

Like said above I would never cut my car up for that. I run a side exit exhaust on my car but it runs under the car just like stock and comes out in front of the lt rear tire. There is just no way I would do that to my car. But it is different I guess. To each there own.

It's near impossible to run a side exhaust under subframe connectors even with oval or frame pipes. And even worse, have you tried running 3 inch pipes over the axle, around a torque arm and panhard bar, and then around a 21 gallon tank? It's a damn nightmare with 2.5 inch and a factory tank.

That looks like one exhaust leak away from carbon monoxide poisoning.

If i get carbon monoxide poisoning when I drive this car then something is very wrong. the only times I drive it is with the windows and top down. Seriously though, it'll be fine. Wouldnt be the first time I've done something crazy with a car and I will be checking for leaks before I heat wrap the pipes.

Hmmmm, kinda "ghetto" looking to me.

And seriously, never run your exhaust thru the passenger cabin, no matter if its sealed or not. That exit point in the side will suck it back into the cabin. Top down or not.

Strongly advise against this mod.

Yes there are certain things like fuel line and exhaust that just don't belong In the passenger cabin. And most governing race body's like NHRA have strict rules about what's allowed in the cabin. Probably a reason for those rules.

Nothing is worse than having exhaust come back into the car, but TV show "car fix" built a "360" Camaro with side exhaust and they raffled the car away. I'm sure if there was any danger of exhaust problems they would not have been able to give it away. I get this show on the Velocity Channel or Spike TV so I did see the build. The pipes go under the back seat and are heat shielded.

The exhaust will be welded to the trim ring. I've done this kind of thing before but I had my own garage. Now I live in an apartment with no lift or welding gear.
