I recently purchased an '07 GT and want to make a few modifications, the first of which is replacing the headers and mid-pipe and I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. The previous owner had already installed Ford Racing exhaust, which sounds pretty good, but the rest of the setup is stock and I want a more aggressive sound. I don't really care for that raspy sound that an uncatted pipe or off road pipe produces. I'm looking for something that will give my car a real aggressive growl, something throaty, if that makes sense. A friend of mine who has owned a few Mustangs and recently purchased a 2014 GT suggested Kooks long tube headers and shorty X-pipe, but I can't seem to find any videos on YouTube with that type of setup. Every video is either of a newer 5.0, which doesn't really help me, or of an '06-'09 GT running long tube headers into un uncatted pipe or off road x-pipe, which again is just too raspy for my liking. I'd appreciate any suggestions.
