Can I run 9 psi on stock
I've got a 91LX with the mods listed in my signature. After I pay off my Summit account I plan on keeping my stock heads and intake and getting a Vortech 8-10 PSI blower. Can I run this with stock internals? Or should I just spend the same money and get the Trick Flowkit with heads, intake and cam? Or hell, just get theNOS 100shotkit for a LOT less? Is it as safe as a blower? What do you guys think??</P>

Yes you can run 9 psi safely.</P>
No I would not get NOS.<IMG onclick="AddSmileyIcon'smileys/smiley11.gif'" alt=Dead src=smileys/smiley11.gif border="0"></P>
New heads, intake, won't give you as much power as a blower, but may be better in the long run.</P>
</P>
My personal choice would be the engine mods over the blower. Its easier to add a blower to a modded engine than it is to add engine mods to a supercharged engine, in general.</P>

<img border="0" src=smileys/smiley5.gif border="0"> you can on 8 psi..but your heads and intake should be changed to get the most out of it
a good 1.90 head would cover it
as will a trick flow or typhoon intake as well as a 190lph+ fuel pump
plus some other things
with nitrous you can go as is.

So no one suggests that I get it w/o the heads, intake and cam eh? That's what I figured. I can't afford to do it all at once... I guess I could go ahead and order the NOS 100 shot and say the hell with it. If it is installed correctly I should be OK with my engine no? The engine only has 75K on it, and those miles were put on by the original owner, never been run hard until I got it. Oil has been changed every 2500 miles. This engine is tight. What all do you suggest getting to insure my engines safety? Like a retard kit? What all should I get besides what comes with the kit vfast? And about the whistle on the Moroso, I haven't noticed anything significant. <edited><editID>karma279</editID><editDate>37994.7344560185</editDate></edited>

Dont listen to this guy, if you cant afford the charger , N20 is the best thing to have....plus later you can add the blower anyway, thats my plan for soon......NOS is safe if you use theWOT switch</P>

NO2, is there a reason you have to follow behind every post I make on this website and try to make me sound like a fool?</P>
The guy asked for opinions, I gave him one. I have posted on this topic many times that I don't like NOS. I think it is dangerous and difficult to control no matter what the advertisers say. The stuff leads to burned uppistons and car wrecks...especially when used on the street. It is not just concentrated oxygen to the engine. </P>
NOS also sucks because its not there all the time like a blower or a built up engine. So its really only useful at the track, if you've got a daily driver then I don't see the point.</P>
Karma, you do as you like, its your engine that is only my educated opinion.</P>

One pushes through air the other taps into your fuel. If done right both can be safe, but if done wrong both can blow your engine to s**t. </TD></TR>
