Hope You've looked into the schooling for Navy Nuke....I almost went into the Navy and my recuiter was a Navy Nuke....After boot and schooling you'll have an extra 4 years of school for the navy nuke and when u take ur acutally ADVAB you have to score high enough to take the navy nuke test which from what I heard is a kicker...but good luck man its a good future!

Thanks for the heads up. I think what you're referring to is the ASVAB, and i already took it. I scored a 97 and the Navy actually found me.The recruiter saidthat in order to be in the Nuclear Program you have to have a score of at least 70-something(i cant remember exact score needed). I have had the Naval Academy contact me also, and one of my options after starting the schooling is to take a test andto possibly become an officer, which i might do. If i do enlist i will start out at E-3 instead of E-1 like a normal enlisted soldier.

one thing about the service guys if you join say @ 20 then @ 40 you retire then start a new career or something in the same line...you get a nice check each month a health care and use of the px...but it's not for everone....if your still in school take a rotc class this may help with make up your mind..and will help with your entry rank...remember the recruiter is a salesman he/she make a commission off you
