The more I read peoples posts on what they have done to thier car the more I start to wonder this. The thing that probably bugs me the most is that people will go out and buy a throtle body for their otherwise stock car. Guess what.... you just LOST about five HP! Three hundred dollars spent and a loss of power WTF. The thing about it is that it is a known fact. I really dont think I have ever read a tech artical that a TB helped a stock engine. A TB is something you install on a built car because you are running such an efficent engine that you are outflowing your current one. You want to do a mod that is near free and is much more impressive than bolting on a shiny new TB? Port match your current one. Go buy a Dremel tool, some chalk, a rag, a new TB gasket, and a few sheets of black construction paper. Stuff the rag in your intake to stop any aluminum shards from going in there.Chalk the flanges on the TB and intake. Poke holes on the paper for the studs, and put it together. The chalkon the paper is the positions of the flanges, and will show any differance. Now that you know the difference you can trim the aluminum to fit. Do this SLOWLY and CAREFULLY, you only really need to touch one piece or the other. There is different bits for the different amounts of metal you need to remove. When really close start with the polishing bits and bring to a nice finish, just like it was when you started. Now for the gasket maching. Clean the chalk off and install the new gasket. The indentation of the flanges shows how far it is off, trim accordingly. Now if you really need to polish it more power to you. Don't forget to remove the rag when you put it all back together. Youjust improoved intake air velocity so you will actually make more power.

yeah man most people on here dont understand what slowing down velocity in your intake/exhaust really does. they think more flow, more hp. you can pick up more flow, while losing velocity at the same time...

you can thanks those rags for this ie 5.0,fast fords..they think that added a big t/b and by passing other mods there ahead of the game and most likely is the only part they can install themselves<img border="0" src=smileys/smiley6.gif border="0">

Come summer or maybe spring break I should be making BB TB's for 3.8, 4.6, and 5.0 (years varied) that will make power over stock.

And they should be below $125 as well.
