What is the best supercharger for daily driving? Most realiable for everyday use and still have good gains? Stock internals, 6-8 psi

If daily driving means good consistent power throghout the rpms then you may be talking about a kenne bell. I'm about to put one in. The bell was my choice because of the full power at 1.5/2K all the way up. A little more expensive than other possibilities, but I want to enjoy the daily drive every moment I can.</P>

if you want reliablility, the only way to go is turbo...you never know when you might chew a belt going down the highway a long ways from home with a supercharger...</P><edited><editID>100th96cobra</editID><editDate>38022.9671064815</editDate></edited>

Supers and Turbos have their ups and downs. Turbocharged i would not reccomend for daily driving. but thats me cause the turbos i know make insane boost and would blow my 302 up in 2 seconds of driving it. I know my friends 4cyl makes 15 PSI outta that little thing. with a little turbo which is not even half the size of my supercharger. But this is only if you have stock internals. By all means if you have internals that can handle that much boost go for it its possible to have a 600HP stang. I know a Supra that handles 35 PSI daily driven on stock internals. but WE have unreliable FORDs that are stock! :P

I have since turbo go over a 100k easely...I haven't seen a S/C do that..I'm sure it happens...but they are very relyable
I always carry an extra belt

I was wondering the same thing b/c I was thinking of ordering a Vortech before the summer. But my question is how many miles have you guys made it so far on the stock internals without problems? That would be a tremendous help.

I can't answer that as mine doesn't have stok inturnal..but I have seen over 20k on some of the cars we did and no problems yet....hey don'y worry about it much as if you keep the boost in the 6-9 psi that engine will live a happy life..Vortech makes a good product and the new ones are really quite

ive made about 400 miles so far with my S/C with stock internals, but without racing it also. And thats with 11PSI of boost and i know im running on short time. I keep telling myself, just only on the track! when i see someone enticing me to race.<edited><editID>Syndicate</editID><editDate>38023.663599537</editDate></edited>
