there really is not much "tunning" that you can do with an fmu, other than chooseing the correct calibration disc for your injectors. And as for your other question, yes the vortech FMU will work, the same basis applies, its a rising rate fuel pressure regulator.</P>

I wouldn't boost all that much with you car the way it is. You have a chance of running really lean. How much boost are you running? and what did you pay for the kit? I payed 3,200 for mine and it came with fmu, fuel pump, new chip,3 core intercooler, and release valve. I then put larger injectors, long tube headers, larger throttle body and imrunning 10lbs of boost on a 96 cobra. I put out 440 hp at the wheels and I still haven't been able to tune it in right. Been to the dyno several times. This year new heads and intake from SHM along with other goodies. I am going over 500 hp easily. Boost is fun but scary at times. My drag radials don't do s**t for traction.

Ohh nice!.. THx for telling me that a Cobra has the potential of 500HP @wheels with a procharger??. thats where i want to be with my bew 351 block swap. I spent $2000 for mine which came incomplete with out injectors pump FMU and chip. This summer almost everything is being upgraded. 42# injectors, 280GPH pump, Tweecer. Vortech FMU, 10:1 set ratio for now.Question! what heads should i get for a 351 handling 11PSI? for like $70 i saw one for. Im keeping the pedal down to a minimum. I havent raced. i plan to keep it that way till i get these upgrades. For now i just take it to and from work. But ill have to show you guys what ive done to it and how it looks so ill post pics soon. If you are asking me if mine pulls, I was on the highway and a guy in a Z06 corvette pulled up beside me and looked ant me and laughed. I put my arms up, in a you think you car is fast manor, and he punched it. So I droped into 3 andput him to shame. I passed him with ease, then as I slowed back down he passed me and wouldn't even look over at me. Did I mentionit burns the tires when I drop into 3rd. That is a really cool feeling.</P>
