h pipe is deeper sounding and better IMO. x pipe is loud and raspy
as you can see, i wasn't talking to you.

yes, the X could be considered higher pitched over aftermarket H, but when compared to a stock H, it's a lot louder and deeper.

What is the best free flowing exhaust set up?? I'm getting long BBK long tubes soon an I am wondering what would give me the most power out of my midpipe/cat-back combo?

blah blah. x isn't loud and raspy. sti;; the same old song and dance here. people posting information about things they've never actually had/heard and just go by hear say. ask anyone that actually has an X.

i'd get an H for a 5.0 though.
i was waiting for you to comment on this nanaki, hahah..if you get an X pipe on a 5.0 you should be shot numerous times in the face.
jence the reason why i said to get an H for a 5.0.

i'll always comment when people say X;s are "high pitched" and "raspy". i'd say 95% of people that say that have never actually heard one nad just go by what;s been posted on the internet by someone else (who probably hasn't heard it either).
my buddy has slp catted x and slp lm1 catback..it sounds amazing to me..not raspy at all..just a little higher pitched up top..but by no means raspy or "too" high pitched..its still hella deep compared to stock h..and just roars when you get on it..i love the sound of it..but with a 5.0 stay with H my man

THANK YOU! if only people would realize that and stop spreading a rumor of it being high pitched and raspy, i wouldn't always get my panties in a bunch.

hahah no problem nanaki, i used to be one of the one's you hated..i always thought x pipes were raspy, then I heard it, and was like whoa, that sounds damn aggressive and mean..but IMO x pipes belong on 4.6's with STRAIGHT THROUGH mufflers..they sound like SHAT with flows and on 5.0's

I had an x pipe on my 95 thunderbird that had an 01 GT 4.6 Liter supercharged.

it had stock mustang headers no cats an x pipe and dual borla straight mufflers. i wasnt loud at all it was very smooth though but not loud and mean enough...

from all the replies i think im going to buy a new H pipe soon... thanks for the help on deciding
