Procharger Application Qu
I have a slightly modified '94 GT and in the next couple of months I plan to have completed the Edelbrock Performer Total Power Package (manifold, heads, cam, etc.) and after that I am thinking about getting a Procharger. Which Procharger model would be better for me, the P-1SC or D-1SC? I know this is probably not a good idea to do all of this to a stock 5.0 block with soon-to-be 90,000 miles, but I would like to know which model is optimal for performance while still maintaining driveability as it is my daily driver. And has anyone done similar mods on a high-mileage engine with little or no problems? Thanks, Carl

i have a 98 mustang with 78000 miles and am buying a pro charger i am buying the p-1sc due to its drivability i find the d-1sc to be more for heavly modded engines or pre race engines but hey im no expert this is just from my resarch on the matter.

My understanding is that the P blower has a radial impeller (uncurved blades), and the D has a helixed impeller, which promotes more power, only higher in the RPM range. Some say the P-1SC is more streetable than the D-1 because it makes boost a little earlier and produces a flatter power curve than the D.
Either blower is capable of making plenty of boost and will make your car a rocket if it's flowing well (Edelbrock package). I guess it's a matter of your driving needs.
