RE: Things for sale by MDValdosta - misc 4.6 stuff, cars, etc.
I received a reply from JMS about the chip. They said that the processors were different between the 01's and 02's.
They also told me they would have to re-burn it at a cost of $180.00[sm=smiley5.gif]
By looking at their website, I would have assumed it was only $80.00. I am going to try and reach them by phone to ask about it.

They told me $80 for a re-burn, $180 was supposed to be for a chip they didn't sell. If they stick to that $180 let me know and I'm gonna call and rape their *** over the phone. Let me know if theirs anything I can do to help.

I just spoke with a guy at JMS. He told me that the $80.00 was for the original customer who bought the chip, and the $180.00 was the cost for a new customer. The reason he gave was that it was cheaper since they already had a file developed for the original owner.
So my price would be $180.00 + S/H. I would like to be able to help you out, but the total cost would be the same as a new chip. If it was interchangable, I would have bought it instantly.
Sorry,
Todd

that's why you don't buy them....this is why the pms and tweecer are great buys as they can move with you to new car.....maybe send the chip in for the new buyer might help you sell it then it would be 80.00 right?
