Description:
Up for sale is my 1988 SVO Turbo Ranger. It has been my daily driver for over one year now and has been very reliable and an absolute blast to drive! Good in the winter too with weight in the bed. It is also very clean for an '88! It will run a 15.0 in the 1/4 IF you can get traction. I had 17" mustang wheels and tires on it, which really helped as far as traction goes. . .. I have stock wheels on it now. The truck is just fine as is and I would trust it to go anywhere, but needs some minor TLC that I simply no longer have time for. I have a ton of time and over $3000 in the truck and will be very sad to see it go, but it needs some TLC that I no longer have time for. I also have a box of random parts that will come with the truck. I am asking $1850 cash. No trades please. I have MUCH more money in it than what I am willing to let it go for and it is WELL worth it. Call or text DJ anytime (248) 821-1189
Body:
-Odometer reads 98K
-Manual brakes, plenty of life left on pads
-Manual Steering
-Pretty clean and rust free for an 88, although not perfect.
-New Headlights
-New Windshield
-Hood Pins
-Aluminum Bed Cap
-Functional Hood Scoop (although ugly ha)
-Snow tires (50% tread left)
-Thunderbird Seats
-New Kenwood stereo with Infinity Kappa speakers and Jensen amplifier
-New Carpet
Powertrain:
-2.3L Turbo Block and computer from an 87 T-Bird Turbo Coupe
-Larger Garrett T3 turbo from an 85 T-Bird
-T5 Transmission from 87 T-Bird Turbo (Third synchro is shot and grinds going into third. Used T5's are about $300 and an easy swap)
-Aluminum driveshaft with new U-Joints
-Top mount intercooler
-2.5" Exhaust with glass pack muffler dumped just after the cab (sounds good)
-Manual boost control valve (set to 20PSI)
-Boost recirculation valve to reduce wear on turbo
-Engine has 90K Miles on it
-New main and rod bearings 10K ago
-New oil pump 10k ago
-New Alternator
-New Cap/Plugs/Wires/O2 Sensor 10K ago
-Be Cool Aluminum Radiator
-87/93 Octane switch installed under dash
-Autometer Boost, Oil Pressure, and Temperature gauges
-Walbro 225LPH new fuel pump
Issues:
-Turbo feed line has been dripping oil, have not had a chance to fix
-Tailgate opening mechanism needs to be fixed
-Third synchro is shot and grinds going into third. Used T5s are about $300 and an easy swap
