Thanks everbody, this is so awesome. After 2 years of building, with a lot more left to go it really is nice to see how many other people like something that I put so much of myself in to.
Thanks again, and I'll get you that write-up ROTM!

It's kinda long, since I had no clue how to do it, but here ya go

Location: Lafayette, LA
Ride: 2002 3.8L Mustang 5-spd
I bought this car in completely bone stock condition, not even window tint, in June of 2006 to take over DD duties since my F150 on 40” Boggers is just not a street vehicle at all. I bought the V6 with the intent of doing nothing more than wheels and a drop and a little system to make the daily commute more comfortable. When I purchased it the driver’s seat back support was damaged, so I ordered the Corbeau LG1’s to take over in that department. The CT-R wheels were in my garage and wrapped in the Toyo T1R’s before the paperwork was signed, and they were mounted before the ink was dry. I started lightly modding with the usual CAI, Long Tubes, catted h-pipe, and Magnaflow catback. A week later I ordered my tuner and slapped in 4.10’s and LSD. I got bit really bad by the mod bug, and since I was building Diesel drag trucks at the time, I had some very good resources and proceeded to do most of the bolt-on mods available.
After having the 6er for 4 months, it seems that the original T-5 had taken enough abuse and sheared the input, counter, and output shaft, along with stripping 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th gear of all their teeth and destroying all of the shift forks. The case and clutch were the only undamaged parts. Slapped all of it back together and then pretty much left the car alone for almost a year.
Now came the era of accidents, October 2007 while tailgating at the LSU vs Florida game, a kid driving the wrong way down a one-way decided to sideswipe my car in front of 2 police officers. The passenger mirror, door, side scoop, and quarter panel were pretty well scraped up. The only good that came out of that day was LSU beating Florida. In December of 2007 I ordered my smoked projectors and less than 16 hours after install on December 27th, my now former roommate, backed her 2003 Mustang Pony package into my passenger side fender, destroying the brand new headlight, the bumper and the fender. After all of this, I decided to call a friend about doing some custom work. I figured that since the insurance is already paying for part of it, then it would be the best time to save at least a little bit of money on a nice custom job.
We decided on the paint work and the new Kaenen hood, Termi front bumper, new headlights, gt rear, and Termi side skirts were ordered and fitted up. The car was dropped off for 7 weeks and returned in absolutely beautiful condition far exceeding any and all expectations. The roof, a-pillars, and c-pillars were treated to a beautiful coat of black, along with smoothing the mirrors and black coating them as well. The fenders were removed in order to facilitate welding up those nasty holes left by the antenna and fender emblems, and then the entire car was treated to a fresh coat of Mineral Grey. After the fresh basecoat was wet sanded to a mirror smooth finish the black “True-Fire” flames were laid down to give the car a mean smoked look. All lights and reflectors were subsequently sprayed to a nice clean smoked finish. The trunk had the spoiler deleted and all holes filled in, along with having the license plate center section sprayed black between the taillights.
After having the car finally back in the driveway again after almost 2 months, the rain didn’t stop falling for a week, so I was finally able to take some clean pics when the weather cleared up. On August 24th 2008, a whole 6 days after those pics were taken, an 18 year old took his friend’s mom’s Crown Vic and javelined it into the back of the stang while I was sitting at a red light right in front of my neighborhood. The trunk was shattered internally, the 2-week old catback was destroyed and subsequently damaged the brake line on the passenger side. The impact also crushed the fuel tank and put a crease in the quarter panel. One good thing is that it afforded me the chance to upgrade to the baffled Termi gas tank. I spent the night in the hospital and have yet to finish seeing physical therapist and going into traction sessions to fix the damage to the 3 swollen disc in my spine. The car was in a local body shop for 3 weeks being repaired, very poorly. I have to once again take it to Houston to have the rear end repainted and repaired properly. The car was supposed to be debuted at Cruisin’ The Coast in Biloxi, and while I was at the event, the car was at home, in pieces. Even though it’s been a long and arduous process, the Quick6 will be ready for next show season, and in even better shape. Now it’s just time to get that forged stroker built, anyone wanna donate?!
