Actually, the fake cap can have a function. To close the I trunk lid I grab the "cap" instead of either the spoiler or the top of the trunk lid. Having enough to grab onto to close the trunk lid but not so much that you're likely to slam it shut is a good thing.

What to replace the OE with? How about something motorsports-related (NHRA, SCCA, NASCAR, car club, maybe a regional emblem for members of this site could be created), something related to your specific mods (that X-charger?), or something related to a completely separate individual interest.

I have the black SHR badge on the back - it blends in nicely with the blackout panel.

I always wondered why you would have a fake gas door and then buy a cover for the real one. Maybe to make it look like you could gas up really fast?
