Default Interest In Dry Carbon Fiber Hood

Hey guys I am here gauging interest in Dry Carbon Fiber Hoods for 2005-2009 models, If you guys can please help me out please reply with how much you would be willing to buy them and what would you sweet spot be price wise.

Remember this is actual Carbon Fiber not a Fiberglass hood with overlay for now we only have OEM Style but will expand depending on interest. For those of you with 2010+ models we will soon have a hood for you too.

If its real dry carbon then I am all over it. I think only roush makes a dry carbon hood as of now. Seibon has yet to make one. I would buy it for 1k. Other styles would be great.
Btw what company do you represent? One guy cant make a dry carbon cuz capital would be too expensive.

I believe the wet one is a fiberglass hood with a carbon fiber covering...the dry is just all carbon fiber. I guess its lighter.

So I did a qck search...and found

http://www.carbondryjapan.com/global/carbondry.html

Production process of CARBON DRY (= Dry carbon) is totally different from making ordinal carbon products. Special facilities that included vacuum equipment and high-temperature appliance are absolutely imperative. Also material, called prepreg, is very delicate so that should keep in the cold storage chamber until just before making.

Also coating technique is very important part of our process. Normally dry carbon products are not coated because most of sake is lightweight and not needed durability such as racing machines. But uncoated dry carbon is very weakened by ultraviolet. So if the dry carbon products use on the usual day, it must be coated. At the same time, the weight will be got heavier but we have resolved particular kind of method. Our CARBON DRY is still lighter than other dry carbon even coated.

Combined Carbon Dry to Honeycomb is more strength
Sandwich honeycomb construction between CARBON DRY makes much more strength. This method is well known like Formula 1 body or aircraft parts.

gauging interest is fine, I guess, but are you a sponsor for the forum? Just have to ask as it is not right for the many other vendors/ sponsors on this forum to pay to advertise and if this thread turns in anyway into a group buy or I see selling of any hood in this thread it will be shutdown and removed.........thanks and PM me if you have any comments or concerns etc

The seibon for mustangs are not dry carbon. Only wet. not very much diff with that. But the dry carbon trunk they have is only like 3kg. Dry carbon is so damn light I WANT IT!!! I got my dry carbon mirrors from APR and they are featherweight.
