Default Trufiber GTS-4 Hood

http://www.trufiber.com/ProductDetai...=TF10024%2DA53
Has anyone purchased this hood yet? If you have, i'd really like to see what it looks like painted. I'm seriously reconsidering the hood I want now after seeing this.

According to a couple things I read up on. It;s the same hood, only made for the GT instead of GT500. It isn't raised up in the front like that one. Had I payed more attention, I would've noticed it said "(Venom GT)."

Someone posting pictures of my car, very cool! My hood is the Venom GT500 with recessed pins. The recessed pins are sort of a pain since you'll have to find someone to fabricate the locking mechanisms but there are plenty of threads with pictures on here.

Deekum and anyone else getting the hoods, my recommendation (my lesson learned) to try and get an accurate pricing quote, tell your paint guy to expect some cracks in the gelcoat. There's no way to know how much but to expect some and to take that into consideration when getting a price quote. A paint guy is going to want your work and give you his cheapest price and when he does give you the quote, you gotta ask how many hours are included for fixing cracks. The hoods are fiberglass and it is normal to have some cracking in the gelcoat.

You'll see some horror stories about Trufiber quality if you search enough but there's also lots of people who do have Trufiber and it's fine. I went through hell to get the hood and front end done right (no fault of Trufiber, the first custom shop I used just sucked) but in the end I found a shop here in the Valley that knew what they were doing and it's worth it, the hood looks awesome and no problems even though it's been only a couple months. And it does turn lots of heads

haha I was hoping the owner would come claim it soon. I had to pick just one picture of the three I took of your car and it was pretty tough lol, I especially love the ghost stripe.
