yeah i ended up wet sanding with 2000 grit, followed the how to guide. i think it came out great for my first attempt with this kinda thing. let me know what you guys think
oh and i've already got the front turn signals, and rear side markers blacked out. i bought the rpi blackouts a few months ago for those. no more red on the car!! whoo hooo

It will look nice when done. You will want to finish the center off black to finish the look. Good luck my Performance White brother!
just wanted to say your car is one of my favorites. perfect taste in exterior mods. post more pics of your car, i've got all the ones i've seen saved already haha. which method of blacking out center section do you recomend? i could probably get it painted cheap, buddy owns a body shop about 300 yards from my house.

here is the process i followed, didn't go as dark as that but its a great write up and easy to do actually. just takes some time sanding, spraying, drying, spraying, drying.........and eventually buffing/waxing http://www.mustangforums.com/forum/2...il-lights.html

I have the SHR honeycomb panel. I like the texture against the lights. I also like how it's flush and curves up into the lights at the top corners. Couple pic's for your consumption.
