Default Shelby Alcoa Wheels

So since my car was violated and I had to pay my deductable I didnt get to buy my supercharger kit. So with the money left over I can do the next best thing and get some wheels. Shelby Alcoas are my choice so they are ordered and backordered till October. So does anyone here have them? Anyone running 285's on them or am I just stuck with the 275/35 combo. They look bad ass either way but it couldn't hurt to ask. Most threads I find are older with no new updates. I have my BMR Fabrication Lowering kit at the house waiting on the wheels to get here!! its driving me crazy!!

Actually the Alcoa's are 10" for the rear if you choose so, and with that said I think it's conceivable to run even a 305 on the back wheels

well the thing is the offset...guys have been having problems running anything over the 275 because they rub?... the super snake comes with rear brake ducts so they came in a weird offset and a SMALLER tire than a gt500 to clear them..just lookin to see if anyone has experience yet

if you want to run something wider get adjustable coil overs to raise the back up or down to avoid the rubbing or you can just roll the fender out a little to clear it

run a 295/35. they have an awesome sidewall height. and i have 10" rims with a 40mm offset and they dont rub, i have no idea how they dont because they look like they stick out. im also running a 245/40 in the front.

to keep the overall diameter the same as stock (if that's a concern), I'd do the 20x9 up front with a 255/35/20 and a 20x10 out back with a 295/30/20....that'd look awesome!

I also believe they are going to be offering a 11" rear wheel.

NitroRod,

I am kinda in the same boat. I am getting mine on Monday. "Can't wait". I have had mine on backorder since June.

Now, what tire to put on it? I did get from Brian at ShelbyPerformance a sheet listing there wheels and suggested tires sizes for cars with stock shocks and also if it has been lowered. If you are interested I can send you a pm.

Was thinking 265/35 ft and 285 or 295/35 rear. My car is not lowered. I am getting the 20x9f and 20x10 rears.

I will be all over the Fed EX guy if he drops one! I hope they come in boxes.
