Default Cervinis C-Series Kit w/ Type IV Hood?

Obviously, I think most people on here already know what the C-Series kit looks like, but here's a link to their product page.

Does anyone on here have this combination done to their vehicle? I'm wondering how good this would look before I make up my mind on a final design, or if I should just stick with the C-Series hood as the complete kit?

I just did a quick Bing image search and came up with these two pics... What do you think? Would the second hood look good on a black C-Series Mustang?

I think you could get away with it.

I think so too.
And you'd be one off the few with that set-up.

Thanks for the input guys. Pascal, I have major respect for you just from reading your posts on here, and if you say I could pull it off, I take that as gold!

The plan is to paint a set of double stripes on it, as dark of a grey as possible, kind of ghosted in... As far as exterior is concerned, after the C-Series kit, I'm planning a set of headlight splitters, GTS-R fenders and A47 mirrors. All things considered, I think it's gonna work as well, and it will only be an extra $100 to upgrade to the Type IV hood.. so....

Thanks for the compliments xerog.

Looks are kinda subjective, even though you'll see a general patern on what to do with a particular car, a unique look sometimes can be achieved by a few well placed detailed mods.

It's a pretty crappy 10 minute chop. And I'm certainly not good enough to get the stripes out, but it should give you some idea.

That helps a lot, thank you! I used to dabble with Photoshop a couple years back, but I've been away from it for a while now, and the newest version is taking me a bit longer to get the hang of it again, so I appreciate you throwing that together for me. I think it looks great.

Personally I hate the 'Eleanor' style hood with the bump in the middle. I much prefer the look of the actual 68 Shelby, so I think the Type IV is a good call. Especially with the heat extractors. Though that ramps up the price a bit more.

Yeah, for the heat extraction Type IV hood, it will only be $100 more on top of the $3959 for the kit plus shipping, so I think it will be worth it...

When I first saw the C-Series hood along with the kit, I thought it looked pretty cool and everything, but the more I look at it, compared to all the other hoods available, it's starting to move down my list of favorite hoods.. almost to the bottom. It just doesn't do anything for me anymore. Thanks for the input!
