i've been contemplating getting a superstripe for my redfire, but on my hood only. i'm not really sure which 'style' to go with, though; flat black or gloss black. i'm going for a 'mach' or 'boss' look eventually (flat/satin black spoiler and other rear flat/satin blackouts), so the flat black would match that better. however, i currently have more of a gloss style rocker stripes (which i could change eventually), so i'm not sure if a flat black hood stripe would clash with gloss side stripes. so if you all wouldn't mind, i'd like your opinion.
thanks

i really like the look of flat black stripes on our cars, esp if you are going for the mach 1 look. that the way im going, im about to paint my spoiler flat black to match my side skirts and front chin

Flat black ftw. Even if you weren't going for the mach look, the super stripe is a really aggressive look and to maintain that you have to have the equally aggressive look of flat black

well, so far, i think the vote is unanimous flat is actually my preference, but i just wasn't sure if a flat superstripe and gloss side stripes would look 'right'. of course, i can always change the rocker stripes to flat, but i kind of like the way they look now

i asked the guys in the classic section if they knew how the stripes on the old boss were made. hopefully i'll find out how the 'classic' ones were done

Man, I'm looking into satin black for stripes on mine.... not quite flat, not glossy either. Its more expensive for me simply because my brother's body shop has loads of flat black laying around (for me, free to use) and I'd have to buy the satin paint myself (not free)... but I'd love to see satin black done on a car.... Still, if the choice is between glossy and flat, I'd have to go with door number 1, and go with Flat.
